❃ Ichthyosaurus was a large, fish-eating creature that lived during the Early Jurassic period. It was about 10 meters (33 feet) long, and had a long, slender body. Its head was small and its teeth were sharp.
❃ It was a fast swimmer and had large flippers. It is thought that it could swim up to 30 kilometers per hour (19 miles per hour). It is the most famous of the ichthyosaurs, and is one of the first marine reptile to be discovered.
